Wisdom From A Second Grader

This picture was taken on our trip to beautiful Oregon. Here are the rest. I want to go back!

At work today a second grade student was chatting away like kids love to do. Remember these oh so funny conversations? Here is a snippet of the conversation we had today:

Second Grader: We're going on a field trip tomorrow!
Mrs Walker (that's me): Oh awesome... where are you going?
Second Grader: I don't know where we're going, but I can't wait to get there!

Those words stuck in my head all day. Sometimes I feel like we have absolutely no direction for where we are going. Our life plans change almost weekly. Like when you're 5 and you're deciding what you want to be when you grow up..... except in this scenario we're 25. This used to completely stress me out. I need a plan, and I need to follow the plan or the world will come crashing down! I'm learning that this is not the case. It's ok that we don't have the next 10 years year planned down to the second. At least we have ideas, goals, and options! I just need to be patient. We may not know where we're going, but I have a feeling it's going to be so much fun getting there!

I definitely agree. I told myself at 18 that I wouldn't get married until I was 28 but life had other plans for me! "The journey is the destination"!
Loved this. Kids say the greatest things. :)

That's pretty darn awesome. If only we could have the mind of a child for all life's decisions....

I love kid's logic, it's so simple. It's amazing how once you've decided on something, if God has a different plan that something isn't happening. I loved your Oregon pictures. It made me want to go there right now!
