- Beckett learned how to look for creatures in tide pools and what to do if he sees a bear
- Nolan learned to ride a bike
- Mark hiked multiple mountain peaks and did several miles of trail runs in each state
- I woke up at 4:30 AM almost every day to teach and jumped out of an airplane
- We swam in rivers, lakes, and the ocean
- We loaded and unloaded all of our belongings from our truck 12 times
- We flew on two planes
- We left our comfort zone, grew closer together as a family, kissed our house and belongings goodbye, and didn't look back.
