It's coming.... our one year anniversary! It feels like we've been married forever! Sometimes it feels like we're an old couple getting ready to celebrate our 50th anniversary. Especially when we say things like "Those kids next door sure are so noisy.... always playing their video games", or "Help me, my back, I don't think I can get up. Where's the Icy Hot?". We can carry on conversations for several minutes about insignificant topics such as: what should we keep the thermostat at, the state of our house plants (the closest thing we have to children), how this can of hot sauce is hotter than the last one, and why it's better to shuffle the deck of cards this way instead of that. The card conversation lasted close to 30 minutes. Even if we have the silliest conversations and argue about how to shuffle cards, we also have more fun than I could ever imagine. We love to laugh and play tricks on each other just like little kids! I don't want to get all sappy-gooshy-ooey-gooey-lovey-dovey, but to sum it all up it's been the best year of my life and I couldn't wish for anything more!
Because our one year anniversary is the day before Valentines day we get to wrap all the lovey holidays into one. And also if Mark forgets he's in twice as much trouble haha. We didn't go on a honeymoon, unless you count one night at the Zermott, because I was doing my student teaching and had to go back to school. And let's face it, we were broke. Well this means it's time to plan a vacation to celebrate anniversary/honeymoon/Valentines Day! We've taken a few days off work and we're trying to decide what to do. Any feedback you have on the topic would be great. Our options are as follows:
A. Go to Vegas, win as much $$$ as possible, ride all the roller coasters, and see Phantom of the Opera.
B. Go to Disneyland/California Adventure, keep in mind I've never been. My Dad has something against large crowds and giant cartoon characters.
C. Buy a California King size bed (if we buy something this is my choice).
D. Buy a flatscreen T.V. (and obviously this is Marks).
E. Save our money for "the future", and stay home watching LOST episodes and eating bon bons.
