Today our puppy passed away. She was old and sweet and we loved her to pieces.
When my little sister's first puppy named Penny passed away, my parents got her a new dog. When they asked her what she wanted to name it her response was, "Penny". My Dad told her it was important to give the dog another name since Penny had died and this was a new dog. So she decided to name her Quarter.
Quarter we love you and will miss you forever!

i remember when my dog died. i cried for a really long time and then became a vegetarian. it was trying times i tell ya. trying times.
Its always so hard to have a dog leave you!! I hope it isn't too hard!!

oh i'm so so so sorry...we had to put down are 14 year old lab right before christmas.
I remember when my dog died and it was probably the hardest day in my life! Your blog is great, I especially love the title since I basically live off cereal :)

Aw hunny my dog died 3 years ago and i still miss him every day. He wasn't even very old, it was sudden. I was in the supermarket when the vet phoned and told me the prognosis and i will never forget standing in the middle of the milk section crying. Luckily a couple of friends came around the corner and rescued me, or i could still be there today in a heap!!
I guess they are up there now playing sticks together :)

This made me cry. Something is wrong with me. I get way more sad when I hear about the loss of a pet than I do when I hear about the loss of a human.
And that seriously has to be the cutest way to name a dog ever.
I'm sorry you lost your puppy. Within the last year and a half my husband and I both lost our family dogs. That's the worst!
