Wild Horse Island

We had a rough start in Montana (see my last post), but it was all worth it for today. We took a little motor boat across Flathead Lake to Wild Horse Island. We left early, before there were other boats on the water, or people on the island. We hiked around the island while it was nice and cool outside. The yellow grass, green trees, and blue sky has always been one of my favorite landscapes. And Montana is full of it. We had lunch by the water and the boys threw rocks in the lake while we waited for our boat. We planned on swimming, but it didn't warm up quite enough! It's probably one of my favorite things we've done since leaving Utah. I'm so happy I decided to bring my camera along this time!
