We have this awful lava rock as part of the landscaping in our front yard. It's quite the project, but we've decided to pull it out and replace it with wood chips. Eventually I'm hoping that our flowers and plants fill in after a few years and we won't need many wood chips at all, but for now they are all just baby plants. The good news is we are keeping most of them alive! Most.....
I cooked my first meal using the parsley from my yard. I know it's a small thing, but I got so much satisfaction cooking with something I grew! I can't wait to have a garden next year.
Mark has done 95% of the yard work while I'm usually entertaining Beckett/myself. At the bottom is a video of what we like to do while Mark is doing the hard stuff.
