Our First Date

Today was my first date with The New Camera. Let's just say we didn't get along as well as I had hoped. The first time we met my heart started pounding and I thought it was love at first sight for sure, but after spending some time together I can see this is a relationship that will take a lot of nurturing and understanding. Everyone always wishes their significant other came with a manual. This one did, but unfortunately half of it is in Chinese and even when I'm reading the English part half the words seem Chinese! Things just didn't click together for us as well as I had imagined, but the good news is there is some definite interest there. I'm willing to work at this relationship and do whatever I need to do to make it work. As long as The New Camera doesn't get made when I push his buttons, I won't get made when he unexpectedly flashes me (this happened twice today).

Like I said, the day was far from perfect. I didn't take any wonderful pictures with perfect composition and focus. I barely aquatinted myself with the basic functions and figured out a few of the settings haha. I'll share just one picture that kind of turned out. Hopefully there will be a wonderful learning curve and soon you'll see my pictures start to improve! Until then please bear with me.

If you look close you can see lots of bumble bees on the flowers. Thank goodness for zoom!
