Mark and I were so sure we were having a girl that when the ultrasound lady said she was 100% certain we were having a boy it took a few minutes to register. Once I realized that what I was seeing on the screen was our little boy it was hard not to cry. I'm so stinkin' excited! The best part about the ultrasound was finding out that everything is looking healthy and great. I have been so nervous because I haven't felt the baby move at all. There was that time I wrote that I did, but looking back I think it must have been something else. As it turns out I have an anterior placenta. Not dangerous, but super annoying. I could be up to 30 weeks before I really feel anything! I won't have to worry anymore now that I know the reason. I'm so grateful that all the measurements looked good and I'm actually 4 days ahead of my due date. I know that doesn't mean much, but 4 less days in the heat of August being the size of Violet from Willy Wonka will be nice if it works out. I already know how I want to decorate the room, but picking a name is going to be a struggle! At least we can get started working on so many things that were on hold until we found out if we were having a little Mark or little Jamie! That little dude was bouncing all over the place during the ultrasound. I have a feeling that means he's going to be a lot like Mark which means I am going to have my hands full!
And because it wouldn't be right to keep the creepy clay baby pictures to myself.... here you go:
Leah: "Whoa! Check out Baby Big Head. Dude, that thing is freaky lookin'."
Juno: "Excuse me. I am a sacred vessel, alright? All you've got in your stomach is Taco Bell."
