Christmas Decorations

When we woke up to this view out our window the other morning we couldn't help but decorate for Christmas!

This is our first time decorating for Christmas! Being in St. George last year where it was 70 degrees and no snow... we never got in the Christmas mood. Plus we came home for a week during Christmas so we didn't take the time to decorate. But this year is different! I love having our own Christmas decorations and tree! We bought a real tree which I plan to always do. My family has always had a real one and Christmas just wouldn't be the same without the wonderful smell and the adventure of going to get the tree.

Yes.... it's true. The picture below is actually my 25 year old husband, not a 3 year old as he may appear. The Christmas spirit turns him into a kid. Actually, if I remember right I took this from our balcony and he was jumping around very pleased that he locked me out in the cold. Either way, his face is the same on Christmas.

Mark made this wreath... I am pretty impressed! A wire hangar, flowers stolen from another decoration, and some tree ornaments later..... he came up with this! What a crafty guy.

Most of our decorations are poor newly wed style purchased at the dollar store haha. We most likely won't be keeping them for years and years to pass down to our kids or anything, except for this star. I really love it!

Someone will be receiving their Christmas present wrapped in this huge stocking, but until then it hangs on our bedroom door.

I also forgot to post this picture of pictures from a while ago. We've been looking for the perfect picture to hang above our bed. The only I really loved was of the Bountiful Temple but a little out of my price range. Now that we're getting into photography we decided to decorate with out own pictures! It's a little blurry because it was dark when I took it, but they're from our trip to Oregon. I really like how it turned out!

If you hadn't mentioned the dollar store I never would have known. Cute cute stuff!
