Lately I've learned a lot about communication, good and bad. Now, I am one that loves to spice stories up. "I almost DIED on my way to work!" and "The spider was bigger than my face!" Things like that. But when it comes to communicating with people, words like "never" and "always" have to be used very carefully. It can cause a big problem if you use words like that when it's not true. "You never do the dishes". True statement? I think not. Sorry Mark I take it back (he really does them more than me haha). Below are several of these statements that are true.
Sometimes
- Sometimes when I go to the 60 minute spinning class at the gym I only last 30 minutes. Then I have to take the walk of shame out of the room past all the other people.
- Sometimes when I’m sitting in a boring meeting, church, or other boring place that I’m supposed to act mature, I imagine what would happen if I stood up and yelled something crazy like, “Stop talking this is so boring!” or “Hey let’s party!”. Luckily I have never acted on these feelings.
- Sometimes I cook an entire meal without ruining anything.
- Sometimes I eat breakfast, change my clothes, and/or do my makeup while driving to work.
- Whenever I go to the store hungry, I always buy too much junk food.
- I always want ice cream after every meal.
- I always want more clothes.
- Mark always makes me laugh.
- I always love going to work.
- I’m always thinking of new tricks to play on Mark.
- I never want to be so old that I can’t go hiking.
- I’ve never liked chocolate.
- I can never spend too much time with my family.
- I (almost) never like to watch the same movie twice.
- I never want food poisoning again.
- I never dread winter coming.
- I never miss an episode of Lost.
