As many of you know I'm picky about what I eat, but I love to try new foods! Unless there is meat involved, I'm never very fond of trying new meat. But if it's found in a health store and you don't know how to pronounce it.... I'm down. Below is a list of crazy foods I love and if you click on them it will take you to a link with more information and possible recipes.
Cous Cous- This is one of my favorites because it cooks in literally 5 minutes and dirties hardly any dishes! I always buy the Near East brand. Mark hates it.
Quinoa (pronounced keen-wah)- Ok I haven't tried this yet. But I'm very excited to! I have a feeling Mark will hate it.
Flaxseed- I've been putting this in everything. Shh don't tell Mark. He'll hate it.
Leeks- I tried this Potato Kale Soup with leeks in it and absolutely loved it! I froze it because it made so much and.... Mark hated it. But I enjoyed the leftovers!
Greek Yogurt- I've sworn off high fructose loaded yogurt and ventured to the health food store last week where I bought 8 different brands of yogurt. My favorite? Greek yogurt. It's really high in fat because it's sooo creamy, but I bought the low fat kind and it was so tasty! I always have it with granola and bananas or in smoothies. Makes me wish I had breakfast for every meal. Mark has never tried it, but I have a feeling he might hate it.
Honey Nut Cherrios- There is not a website for this, but trust me... it's amazing. Melt two tablespoons of peanut butter in a bowl in the microwave. Dump in Honey Nut Cheerios, stir, and enjoy! It is one of my favorite treats! Mark tried it and said he couldn't swallow it haha.
I've noticed I keep writing on my blog about food. Now you know where my thoughts are at night! And not to worry, my husband is well fed. The majority of the time I make cheesy things he loves, but sometimes I just say you might want to order pizza tonight, I'm trying something new....

Mark always manages to find something he likes. He didn't appreciate it when I would try new ideas either.
